First post in exploring abnormal psychology

Hello world, The purpose of this blog is to share my thoughts and random study notes as I study for an abnormal psychology course (115) at Ohlone College, Fremont CA. I may through in some personal stuff and some pictures of the school and so forth. I am the only person associated with this blog. We are using the books

Abnormal Psychology (PSY 115):

Abnorm

Abnormal Psychology, 9th edition (Alloy, Riskind, & Manos)

- ISBN: 9780072878707

-

-

PseudoScience and Pseudoscience in Clinical Psychology (Lilienfield, et al.)

ISBN: 1593850700

I am very happy with these books. I have no association with the authors. The course is taught by Prof. Sheldon Helms. I am very happy with him. I have no association with him outside of being his student in the class. I don't speak for anyone in this blog but myself.

I want to apologize in advance for spelling errors and grammatical errors. Also factual errors or deviations from APA style. I am always in a big hurry with the ideas and have to struggle to correct the format!
I will do a lot of posting from wiki and from websites. I can not verify that everything is accurate.
I will do my best. My teachers only want stuff from peer reviewed academic journals. I understand why. But I have found that for study, the web, wiki, Google images etc, are a very nice way to go: It is way too much fun to drop the internet from my studies. But for in my in-class reports I will do as I am told. And as I said I understand why: They want me to learn how to find verified truth.
